Located just outside of Atlantic, Iowa, and only 6 miles south of Interstate 80, Bluebird Hill sits in an ideal location in Southwest Iowa.  As the midpoint between Omaha and Des Moines, your guests will always have a quick and easy drive.  On a hilltop just one quarter mile north of Highway 83, you'll find a private retreat perfect for your next event.  Wedding ceremonies and receptions, holiday parties, anniversaries, or business conferences; our quiet environment is conducive to anything you've got in mind.

Step inside the front doors to experience unparalleled uniqueness and comfort, designed to provide every client with the exact experience they desire. A spacious entry gives way to a 3,150 sq ft event space with ceilings vaulted to 27 ft.  There are unlimited options for setting up your event space that will create the best environment for not only your event purpose, but for your event size.  We are happy to create intimate dinner parties next to the fireplace or fill the hall with your family & friends.  Bluebird Hill comfortably seats 200-250 in the main event space with room on the loft and porch to seat additional guests (seating capacity subject to chosen layout).

The main event space also boasts a red brick fireplace and accents, wooden ceiling beams, 3 classic chandeliers, and ambient light to illuminate the entire ceiling. Custom whimsical railing leads to the bridal loft that will overlook the entire space.

 

Inside the bridal suite, you'll find grey brick accents and chandeliers fabulous for capturing the perfect images of the bridal party, as well as private changing facilities, 6 vanities, personal storage, and private bathroom facilities.  There are also windows that overlook the wooded courtyard, as well as overlook your guests entering the facility.

Back downstairs, the grooms suite at Bluebird Hill is customized for the other half of the bridal party. That space is designed with comfort in mind and will feature a flat screen TV, comfortable seating, game tables, locked storage, and a personal refrigerator.

Hire a caterer of your choice, and they will be welcomed by a large prep kitchen with plenty of space to spread out and get their work done. Commercial warming ovens, multiple refrigeration units, and endless counter space will allow the catering staff to execute their job to the best of their ability.

Next on the interior tour is the Bluebird Lounge, that will feature the same brick accents and warm comfort. A 400 sq ft lounge sits on the northwest corner, with access to an outdoor patio.  You'll be greeted by an experienced bartender, who will be happy to assist you.  Bluebird Hill holds the liquor license for the facility and will stock your favorite cocktails and offer personalized drink specials for your event. 

Everything you love about Southwest Iowa, all wrapped up in one location.  Bluebird Hill is situated on 75 private acres, just 2 miles east of Atlantic, Iowa, and offers a little bit of everything. You'll turn onto the property and be led to a wooded hilltop that is ideal for outdoor wedding ceremonies, family reunions, or simply for beautiful photos.

Other natural on-site features include a windmill, creek, 2 ponds, and views of pasture and crops across the valley.  Each background will create a beautiful assortment of photographs to capture your day.

Along the eastern edge of the venue, you'll find an attached, covered patio that is 1,600 sq ft in size with gorgeous eastern and northern views.  As an outdoor extension of the main event space, you are welcome to utilize this space for a wedding ceremony, additional seating for 150, or simply an additional outdoor lounge space that will feature heaters in the fall or cool breezes in the spring.

Owner, Kimberly Comes, has 24 years of experience in nearly every facet of the hospitality industry.  Her resume includes 3 Country Clubs across the midwest,  and owner of Wild Almond Cakes for the past 12 years creating wedding and specialty cakes.  Kim has seen a little bit of everything within the wedding and event industry, and is using her knowledge of what works to create your perfect day. 

 

All Inclusive event setup and cleanup might be the best part of Bluebird Hill. You just tell us what you want, and it'll be ready and waiting for you on arrival. The classic and elegant interior speaks for itself and will save you from needing additional lighting, drapery, or decoration.
